She was born in London, Ontario, in Canada to Lila and Edmund Brockman.
She is survived by her husband, George Lingelbach, her children, Cindy (Bruce) Delozier and Candi Rowley; her grandchildren Maddie, Lindsey, Allie, and Emily, her sister, Sylvia Verkerk, her brother, Sidney Brockman, her sister, Connie Harrison, and her step-sons Steve, Greg, and George Lingelbach.
Joyce was a graduate of Marylhurst College. She was the owner and President of Joyce Funkhouser Accounting and Tax Services for over 29 years. She was a member and district governor of the National Society of Accountants. She was also an active member of the Oregon Association of Independent Accountants and the Royal Rosarians.
