

Judith Ellen Morgan DeCourcy passed away on September 29th, 2016, in Gresham, Oregon. She was born on May 27th, 1937, in Providence, Rhode Island, to her parents: Russell and Lucile Morgan. She attended Shawnee Mission High School. She then attended Grinell College in Iowa, from which she graduated in 1959 with her Bachelor’s Degree in English.
In 1964, Judith married her husband, Peter DeCourcy. They moved to Oregon in 1965, so they could both attend Graduate School. Peter attended Portland State University, and Judith attended the University of Oregon, from which she graduated in 1968 with her Master’s Degree in Social Work. They were married until Peter’s passing in 1999
Judith worked for the Multnomah County School System for many years. After Peter’s passing, Judith became involved with St. Henry’s Church in Gresham. She volunteered in the food bank, and she was a part of the Directorship of the St. Vincent de Paul Society. She enjoyed knitting, photography, and cats.
Judith was preceded in passing by her parents and her husband. She is survived by her brother and his wife, James R and Vicki Lynne Morgan; her nephews, Peter and Andrew; her great nephews, Trystin and William; her great niece, Gwen; and her beloved cat, Bettie. She will be missed.
A Funeral Mass will be held at St. Henry Catholic Church in Gresham on Friday, October 14th, 2016, at 11:00 am.
