Kae Fong Saechao

Kae Fong Saechao, our beloved mother, peacefully departed this world on the morning of September 13, 2023, at the age of 81. She was born in Muang Sing, Laos, to Chan Fong and Moung Finh. She joins her predeceased family members, including her parents, sisters Mey Fong, Nai Fong, Gen Fong, brothers San Fong and Torn Fong, as well as her late husband, Soun Fey.

She leaves behind a legacy of love and family, survived by her sister Lai Chio, and her devoted children: Nging Wan, Ian Meng, Nai Fey, Kao Fey, and Lai Fey. As well as her 18 grandchildren and 15 great-grandchildren.

She found joy and fulfillment in life through her passions for hand-sewing traditional Mien embroidery and tending to her garden. Her favorite foods included fried pork belly, boiled vegetables, fresh fish, and the comforting taste of traditional pounded sticky rice.

Above all, she was a loving and caring mother who always stood by her children's side. Her nurturing presence ensured there was always a warm meal on the table. Her grandchildren always knew which room to sneak into for a quick midnight snack.

Our mother's memory will forever live on in the hearts of our family and those who had the privilege of knowing her. She will be remembered for her boundless love, dedication, and the warmth she brought to every life she touched. May she rest in eternal peace.
