I haven't seen Karen since high school. If I remember correctly, we went to grade school, middle school and high school together......She was always really sweet and fun to be around. I just remember she was always laughing and smiling. I want to express my sincere condolences to her family and friends. She was too young to be taken and I am so sad for your loss. I hope her smile and laugh stay ever so vivid in your hearts and mind.

I am so sad to hear of Karen’s passing. I am full of regret for not trying harder to stay in touch with her. She was a HUGE part of my young adolescent life. I’m struggling trying to remember every last detail of our friendship. We were attached at the hip for such a long time. I am so sorry that cancer robbed her of so many precious years. I wish her family and especially Deric, peace and strength and Lots of Love (and stuff)

Back in the late 90's Karen would drive and get parts for one of the shops she worked for. I would always see her driving up and down Mcloughlin. Each time we passed I would wave never to get a wave back from her. I would see her later and say I waved at you and she would respond I didnt see you. Finally one day I was cracking a joke about how oblivious she was to her surroundings while she was driving and she said " Every time I look at the vehicle next me I catch someone picking their nose, so I only pay attention to whats in front of me. I dont want to see some guy with their finger in their nose!" Everyone that was standing around could not stop laughing! To this day I retell this story to people. Karen was a loving mother and a good friend!!!! We will miss you!!!!
