Karen was born November 28, 1942, to Melvin “Mel” Lucky and Bertha (Hermony) Lucky in Gresham, Oregon. Karen married Jim Phillips on August 19, 1961, and they remained together until his passing in 2010.
Karen was preceded in death by her husband, Jim Phillips, and parents, Melvin and Bertha Lucky.
Karen is survived by her brother, Don Lucky; daughter, Susan Mihm; son, Jim (Cody) Phillips; grandchildren, Brooke Mihm, Michelle Grow, Michael Mihm, and Jimmie Phillips; great-grandchildren, Chevelle, James, Cheyenne, Melanie, Kennedy, Savanah, and Paisley; and lots of nieces and nephews. She was also beloved and will be missed by many neighbors, and friends of her grandchildren.
A funeral service for Karen will be held Friday, June 27, 2025 at 10:00 AM at Bateman Carroll Funeral Home, 520 W Powell Blvd, Gresham, OR 97030. A graveside service will then follow at 11:00 AM at Forest Lawn Cemetery, 400 SW Walters Dr, Gresham, OR 97080.
