Kathleen Mitchell-Havlik

Kathleen Marie Mitchell-Havlik, 89 of Portland OR, passed away on Friday, December 9, 2016. She was born on October 7, 1927 in Portland, Oregon to Arthur and Margaret Connor and graduated from Madeleine Catholic High School. She married Myron Wayne Mitchell on September 14, 1947 in Portland, Oregon and he preceded her in death in 1981. She later married Wesley Havlik and he also preceded her in death.

Kathleen was a faithful catholic for her lifetime and sang in the choir and was a part of parishes that included Assumption, St. Therese, St. Anne and St. Joseph the Worker. She was active over the years with square dancing and camping and loved sewing, knitting, crocheting and needlepoint.

Kathleen was also preceded in death by her son Gary Mitchell. Kathleen was survived by her sons Doug Mitchell (Cathy) of Damascus OR, Kevin Mitchell (Jackie) of Happy Valley OR and Duane Mitchell of Portland OR; daughters Connie Horger (Gary) of Boring OR, Cindy Mitchell of Portland OR and Michele Schubert (Jeff) of Portland OR; daughter-in-law Dorothy Mitchell of Portland OR; brothers Gene Connor of Portland OR, David Connor (Joan) of Oregon City OR and Dennis Connor (Mary) of Camas WA; grandchildren Kristen Mitchell, Matthew Mitchell, Andrew Mitchell (Laurie), Tyler Horger (Tammy), Jennifer Lundblad (Gary), Keith Mitchell, Michael Mitchell, Daniel Mitchell, Craig Glenn, Cameron Plumb, Cheyanne Plumb, David Mitchell, Lilly Mitchell, Tyson Schubert (Michelle), Charissa Schubert and Blake Schubert and great grandchildren Makayla Horger, Jocelyn Horger, Wyatt Horger, Elisha Lundblad, Savannelise Lundblad, Alexis Schubert, Aiden Schubert, Madeline Schubert, Mallie Turcotte, Timathee Turcotte, Korbin Schubert, Kayden Schubert and Kyndle Schubert.

A viewing will be held on Monday, December 19, 2016 from 10:00am to 5:00pm at Bateman Carroll Funeral Home, 520 W. Powell Blvd in Gresham, Oregon. Funeral Mass will be held at 10:00am on Tuesday, December 20, 2016 at St. Henry Catholic Church, 346 NW First in Gresham, Oregon with interment to follow at Willamette National Cemetery in Portland, Oregon.
