Kathleen Ann Colbert Schwerzler

Kathleen graduated from St. Mary’s Catholic High School in Beaverton, Oregon in 1954. She married John Schwerzler in St. Henry Catholic Church in Gresham, Oregon on April 15, 1956. John died in 2006.

Kathleen was an Administrator at the Colbert Nursing Home in Gresham and at the Columbia Care Center in Scappoose, Oregon.

She lived for 55 years in Portland. Interests included reading, watching sports like golf, Portland Trailblazers and tennis matches, was a great cook and grandmother, traveling to Hawaii, entertaining people at her home, having a good time. Anyone who met her was better off by knowing her.

Memorial Mass will be on Wednesday, May 12th at 1:30 p.m. at St. Anne Catholic Church located at 1015 SE 182nd Ave. in Portland.

Survivors include her sons Kirk Schwerzler of Camas, OR., Mike Schwerzler of Hillsboro, OR., daughter, Debbie Rice of Portland, OR., brothers Bob Colbert of Malibu, CA., and Glen Colbert of Gresham, OR., 5 grandchildren, Matthew and Audrey Rice, Danny and Cassidy Schwerzler and Brendan Nuzum, and 1 great grandchild, Fox Anthony Roberts.
