Kathy Ann Shanks, 66 of Gresham OR, passed away on Thursday, March 7, 2024. She was born on April 1, 1957 in Culver City, California to Kenneth and Mary Williams. She graduated from Venice High School and received her Bachelor Degree from a nursing college in that area. Kathy worked as a licensed practical nurse for over 40 years, in labor & delivery at Good Samaritan and in family medicine at OHSU, before her retirement in 2020.
Kathy married Robin Dean Shanks on May 16, 1981 in Gresham, Oregon. She attended East Hill Foursquare Church and enjoyed Elvis and BJ Thomas. Kathy loved painting her nails and enjoyed collections that included snow globes, Santa Clauses and all things Star Wars.
Kathy is survived by her husband Rob Shanks of Gresham OR, sons Dylan Shanks of Gresham OR and Gaston Shanks of Troutdale OR and grandsons Kash Lorenz and Axel Shanks.
A Celebration of Kathy’s Life will be held at a later date. Arrangements entrusted to Bateman Carroll Funeral Home in Gresham, Oregon.
