

Kay was born in Philadelphia, PA on October 28, 1938 to Sydney and Mona Anflick. She was one of 6 children. Kay’s parents moved to Los Angeles, CA in the late 1950’s and she went to Canoga Park High School. During that time she met and married her childhood sweetheart, Jeran Richmond and they had 3 children; Michael, Beth and Julia. With Jeran’s engineering skills the family moved to Florida, where he worked for NASA. During that time, Kay pursued her passion for theater and music appearing in many local stage productions. Her most memorable role was portraying Fanny Brice in Funny Girl. In the early 1970’s, the family moved back to California and in the late 1970's she moved with her daughters to Oregon where she lived out the rest of her life.
Kay is survived by her two daughters, Beth (husband, Rufus) Joseph and Julia (husband, Brian) Davis and 3 grandchildren, Summer Richmond, Lauren Dunning and Jacob Dunning and great grandson, Zander along with many nieces, nephews and friends. She was preceded in death by her husband Jeran, son, Michael and grandson, Jason, her best friend and sister, Eileen and her sister, Selma.
Funeral service was on Friday, October 17, 2014 at 11:00 a.m. at Bateman Carroll Funeral Home in Gresham, Oregon. Interment is at Forest Lawn Cemetery in Gresham.
