

Larry Donn Richardson, 59, passed away on February 29, 2016, at his home in Gresham, Oregon. Larry was born on September 15, 1956, in Portland, Oregon, to his parents: Don Wesley and Beverly Louise Richardson. He was a Fifth Generation Oregonian. Larry attended Gresham Union High School, graduating class of 1974. In 1976, he graduated from Mt. Hood Community College with an Associate’s Degree in Science. He graduated in 1994 from Concordia College in Portland with a Bachelor’s of Science in Business Management and Communications Summa Cum Laude with a 3.94 GPA.
Throughout his lifetime, Larry had multiple careers. He worked in fisheries and wildlife, was a plumber, and a joint family business owner. From 1993 until 1998, Larry worked for AEI as an Operations Manager. In the early 2000’s, Larry worked for the United States Postal Service, and then as a Procurement Specialist and Project Manager at Schommer & Sons. From 2004 until 2009, Larry worked for YRC Worldwide in a variety of positions. Following YRC, he worked as a Truck Driver for Fred Meyer Distribution Company in Portland.
On August 4, 1989, Larry married his wife and the love of his life, Karin Richardson, at a family home in Gresham, Oregon.
Larry was a true Outdoorsman; he was happiest when he was hunting, fishing, crabbing, boating, and camping in the great outdoors. He enjoyed playing Baseball and played for minor league baseball with the beavers. He was a very prepared person, and always had at least one of everything. Larry will always be remembered for his love of the outdoors, being an excellent cook, and his love of hunting and fishing.
Larry is survived by his loving wife of 36 years, Karin Richardson; his daughter and son in law, Mary and Darrick Willhite, and their son, Myles, of Welches; his sister, Terri Robinson of Gresham; his brother, Kenny Richardson of Boring; his mother, Beverly Osborn and her husband, Ken, of Gresham; and his father, Don Richardson of Portland. He will be greatly missed.
