

Lawrence lived most of his life in Gresham. He graduated from Gresham High School. Lawrence married Bernice Mary Hamilton on June 18, 1949 in Portland, Oregon. He was a carpenter and was a foreman that helped build 47 churches. He was a member of the carpenter’s union and the Mt. Hood Rifle Club. Lawrence was a member of Grace Community Church.
Hobbies included stamp and coin collecting, leatherwork, woodworking, gardening, bowling, music, a Seattle Mariner fan, and helped start the Gresham Little League Baseball Program.
Survivors include his loving wife Bernice, of Gresham, OR., son Larry and his wife Diane Gadbaugh, of Gresham, OR., daughter Carol Hardin, of Vancouver, WA., two brothers, Gilbert Gadburgh, of Vancouver, WA., and Wayne Gadburgh, of Portland, OR., two sisters, Betty Allen, of Gresham, OR., and Phyllis Miska, of Lake Oswego, OR., 7 grandchildren and 3 great-grandchildren.
Donations may be given to Pregnancy Resource Centers of Portland, 7931 NE Halsey St. Suite 100 Portland, Oregon.
Memorial service will be on Saturday, April 7, 2012 at 2:00 p.m. at Grace Community Church, 800 SE Hogan Rd. in Gresham, Oregon. Private burial will be at Forest Lawn Cemetery in Gresham, Oregon. Viewing will be on Wednesday and Thursday, April 4th & 5th from 11:00 a.m. until 5 p.m. at Bateman Carroll Funeral Home located at 520 W. Powell Blvd. in Gresham, Oregon.
