Lewis R. Roberts

Lewis graduated from Burlington, WA. High School then he served his country in the U.S. Navy. Lewis married Ramona Spady on February 13, 1959 in Vancouver, Washington. He was a long Haul truck driver transporting automobiles. Later he worked at I.M. Distributing Heating and Air Conditioning Company where he retired as a general manager in 1995.

Lewis lived in Burlington, Washington, then Umatilla, Oregon, Portland, Oregon and finally in Latourell Falls (near Corbett, Oregon) since 1964. He was a member of the Gresham Elks Organization.

Lewis enjoyed camping, fishing, gardening, elk hunting with his son-in-law spending time with his family and friends.

Survivors include his wife Ramona Roberts of Latourell Falls, OR., daughter Janice Richards of Kalispell, Montana, daughter Terri L. Kelly of Pendleton, OR., daughter Sherri Jones of Rufus, OR., son, Chuck Rollins of Latourell Falls, OR., brother Jerry Roberts of Seattle, WA., sister Bernice Bush of Vancouver, WA., 8 grandchildren and 10 great grandchildren.

Memorial Service will be on Friday, April 23, 2010 at 11:00 a.m. at Bateman Carroll Funeral Home 520 W. Powell Blvd. in Gresham, Oregon. Committal service with military honors will be on Friday, April 23, 2010 at 1:00 p.m. at Willamette National Cemetery in Portland, Oregon. Donations may be given to Snow Cap or to your favorite charity.
