Linda M. Heppting Burnett

Linda Burnett of Lake Oswego, OR passed away peacefully in her sleep at home on Nov. 2, 2013. A Memorial service to celebrate her life will be held at 3:00pm Sat. Nov. 9, 2013 at Bateman Carroll Funeral Home in Gresham, OR. Linda was born to Edward and Viola (Miller) Heppting in Denver, CO. She graduated from Loretta Heights College in 1967 and earned a master’s degree from Oregon State University in 1969. In June 1969, Linda married the love of her life Mike Burnett and they welcomed daughters in 1969 and 1974 and a son in 1979. Linda traveled extensively in the U.S. and abroad, even living in Saudi Arabia for a year. Linda enjoyed reading and watching TV; her favorite games were bridge and Sleuth which she enjoyed playing with her family. She is survived by her children, Becky Parsons, Amber Wright and David Burnett; son-in-law Mike Parsons; grandchildren, Curtis, Kimmie and Matthew Parsons and Gavin Wright; sister, Carol Solid; 6 nieces and 3 nephews, including Kathleen Willems, Shawna Dedrick and Julie Haas. She was preceded in death by her parents, Edward and Viola (Miller) Heppting and her husband Mike Burnett.
