Linda Kay Kreuder, aged 74, passed away, surrounded by family, on September 19, 2024, in Gresham, Oregon. Born on January 5, 1950, in Bend, Oregon to Lester Redding and Gwendolyn Mangus Redding, she was one of five daughters. Linda dedicated much of her life to serving others, through her career, with her family, and in her personal interests.
A graduate of David Douglas High School and Mount Hood Community College, Linda worked as a dental hygienist for over twenty years, a career that reflected her giving nature. She was a beloved figure among her colleagues and patients, known for her hard-working, caring demeanor and for the loving care she provided to all.
Linda's passions extended beyond her professional life. She was an avid baseball and Oregon Ducks fan, which she enjoyed along with sewing and camping. Linda could often be found in the stands at the sporting events of her children, keeping the scorebook, and being their biggest cheerleader. Her love for the Oregon Coast, Sunriver, playing games, running, spoiling her pets, and spending quality time with her family are fondly remembered by all who knew her.
Linda is survived by her loving husband of fifty years, Tom; their children, Melissa Kreuder, Wendy Kreuder Hawley, and Thomas Kreuder; and her 9-year-old granddaughter, Gwendolyn Rae Hawley. She is also survived by her four sisters, Doris, Diana, Mary (Jeff), and Vickie (Tom); and her sister- and brother-in-law, Karen and Chuck Hoff, along with many nieces and nephews, who brought her so much joy. She leaves behind a legacy of kindness and love.
A memorial service will be held at Bateman Carroll Funeral Chapel on Sunday, September 29, 2024, at 1:00 pm. For those wishing to honor Linda, please consider a donation to the Alzheimer's Association or the Veterans of Foreign Wars (VFW).
