Linda Sue Schimel

Linda Sue Schimel, age 71, of Gresham, Oregon passed away on Thursday, September 12, 2024. She is survived by her husband, Tom Oslund; her children, Yvonne, Julie, Bill, Jaime, Terra, and Benjamin. In addition, she is survived by her 14 grandchildren. She also leaves behind three brothers and four sisters. Since her birth in Denver, Colorado, Linda has been a huge Denver Broncos fan, even devoting two rooms in their home to honor the Denver Broncos.

She was fiercely devoted to her family and loved them unconditionally. She was known as being the peacekeeper among her family. Being the eldest child of deaf parents, Linda found her calling as an ASL interpreter, advocating for the deaf community. She was truly a strong and devoted woman, passionate in her faith. We believe everyone deserves to have a Linda in their life.

There will be a celebration of life service held in Linda's memory on Saturday, September 21, 2024 at The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, 1515 SE Cherry Park Road, Troutdale, Oregon 97060. Lunch and refreshments will start at 2:00 PM, and the service will begin at 3:00 PM.
