Happy Fathers Day Dad...Sometimes I can't believe that you've been gone for over 4 Months now, you left me with an inner strength to build my life upon.  You've left some good memories which I hold in my heart and no one can ever take away for I treasure them like gold.  so, Dad sleep peacefully you're in my every thought, and I feel such thankfulness for all the happiness you've brought.

Loren is a loving father, grandfather, brother, cousin and a loving husband to our mom. He taught us kids while growing up always remember that word "IF" If they can do it, I can do it too if you put your mind into it. You always want to achieve life better than others. Always be an achiever not a follower.  I will always admire his strong sense of thoughts. All he ever wanted and wish for is for us kids is to be strong not weak.  Dads legacy will always be a achiever, proud to serve in the United States Marine, looking out for others and always there for guidance. Thank you dad for bringing me into this world along with Gary, Larry and Sheri. You will always be in my heart and soul for eternity, I love you. Dear loving Farther, hear this prayer.  I pray now for my Dad.  Thank you for his life, for without him I would not exit.  Thank you for the times when he cared for me.  Thank you for the lessons learned by his examples and his mistakes.  Oh, loving Farther, bless my Dad, bless his Soul and for when Dad failed.  Let me forgive him and love him.  Through your spirit heal the wounds between us.  Dear loving Lord, you are Farther to us all, spread out your mercy over all Fathers, Daughters and Sons, for the glory of your Son Jesus Christ, in his Holy name.  Amen… 

All of us kids did not see eye to eye with our Dad, but we see heart to heart. Dad positively affected everyone he encountered in his nearly 78 laps around the sun. Helping at the retirement center, assisting his neighbors when times were rough by delivering them food boxes when needed. Dad we love you and we all wished that things could have been better.

Dad was not much of a dancer or singer and he did not play any musical instruments, but he had the talent for riding a bicycle backwards down the street while sitting on the handlebars. Also, halfway decent in his granny shots in basketball while playing horse.

I've taken in a lot thought about what you say.  When I graduated from high school dad taught me to be confident in myself and said to me to soar like an eagle and to not fludder like a duck!  My dad over the years has tried his best to teach us about life.  I've been living with my parents since 2018 because of unfortunate events in my life but what I've heard him say is that how imperfect he was as a father that he was proud of his kids!  We all know he was far from being perfect but he always says we will always have a home to come home to.  He always tried to help and be there for us kids and I'm truly grateful for the time I was able to share with him the past 2 years.   Dad I will always love you and you will always have that special place in my heart!

Since I was little, Dad taught us to always be aware of our surroundings. "Know your exits! Stay alert! Stay alive!”, but did not understand until I was in the Military in '93 that I fully embrace and understand its true meaning.

Dad was a career fabrication welder and he always wanted to better himself, he ran for representative for the sheet-metals union, he lost the election by only a few votes. He went to school and received his realtors license and eventually getting his brokers license, this did not satisfy my dad, so he got his notary republic credentials. Dad also had interest in selling cars, so he got his automotive dealers license and became owner of Jessen motors. Something was still missing in his life, so dad got his CPR card and became a first aid and CPR trainer. My dad was doing all of this at the same time while working at Thompson metal Fab… he was born with three settings, that's full throttle, Eating and Sleep.

Dad was an in-centric collector of the unique, buying things that were not needed, some people called it junk/ waste of money but to him it was his treasures.  Purchasing vehicles, RVs, boats, motorcycles, tools, golf carts and anything else that he thought was a good deal. He was a true Sanford and Son😁

Dad had a sweet tooth, love pineapple upside down cake, Jell-O, ice cream, donuts and cookies. Coke was his favorite soda. Enjoyed going out for a good meal with family and friends and always paying the bill. Dad was always generous with his money. Dad like putting applesauce onto his spaghetti. Pouring milk on top of ice cream. Pouring milk on top of cake. Ketchup on top of stew and syrup on his legs. He always stated that it all goes down the same tube.

My heart goes out to my sister, Marijke, for the loss of her husband (Loren)
 and for the children (Gary, Johnny, Larry, & Sheri) for the loss of their father.

My Dad was a proud Marine, he quoted that a Veteran is someone who at one point in his life, wrote a blank check made payable to the United States of America for amount to and including my life…that is honor and there are way too many people in this country who no longer understand it…God Bless America.

Loren was a great inspiration in our lives,  When we started a community non profit, Loren said he & his wife Maryke felt good with a strong purpose in helping us, helping feed complete strangers.  We still to this day feed many people weekly.  From the support of Loren and his wife Maryke, We Thank you guys and God Bless.  Loren is now in God's care.  Even when Loren was struggling with his last few days of life,  He said he wanted to see the non profit be the biggest and best and it can be. We have been so blessed to have crossed paths with this man.  God is good 🙏 In the photo is Loren helping us distribute food at a Saturday food distribution event United Path Ministries put together with Gene, Jodie, Cathy, Maryke, Larry & Loren.
