

Maxine Lorraine Miller, 86 of Gresham OR, passed away on June 23, 2016. She was born on January 4, 1930 in Goshen, Indiana to George and Lucy (Abrogast) Chard. She graduated from Leavenworth High School in Leavenworth, Washington and married Graham Oscar Miller on August 22, 1948. Lorraine and Graham lived in Renton, Washington for many years and were active with the Square Dance Club, Garden Club and members of The First Baptist Church.
Lorraine worked for thirty years as a drafter for Milmanco Drafting before retiring. Lorraine loved gardening, people watching, and time spent with her children and grandchildren. She was a giver and well known for her many care packages to family and friends.
Lorraine was preceded in death by her husband of 54 years Graham O. Miller in 2002, her second husband of 10 years David M. Latimer (a long time family friend) in 2013 and her granddaughter Richelle Miller. Survivors include daughter Cheryl Bonnett (David) of Portland OR; sons Randy Miller of Parker AZ and Larry Miller of Sumner WA; daughters Nancy Miller of Gig Harbor WA and Teresa Planka (Steve) of Inverness FL; sisters Carol Hanson of Leavenworth WA and Cleeta Monesmith of Wenatchee WA; brother Ron Chard (Delores) of Spokane WA; grandchildren Terra, Jamie, Melisa, Christopher, Carmen, Dalton and Dylan; eight great grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews.
A Celebration of Lorraine’s Life will be held at 11:00am on Saturday, July 23, 2016 at Bateman Carroll Funeral Home, 520 W. Powell Blvd in Gresham, Oregon. Private inurnment will be at Tahoma National Cemetery in Kent, Washington. Memorial Contributions in lieu of flowers may be made as donations to The Alzheimer's Foundation of America at www.alzfdn.org, Breast Cancer Research Foundation at www.bcrfcure.org or to the Charity of One's Choice.
