

Gresham resident Marilyn Sauer passed away in the comfort of her Gresham home, surrounded by the love of her family on September 11, 2010. She was 83. A memorial service will be at 2 PM on Saturday, September 18 at the Kingdom Hall of Jehovah’s Witnesses, 5127 SE Salquist Road in Gresham.
Marilyn Sauer was the first of seven children born on February 3, 1927 to Edmond and Ida (Boulter) Perrenoud in Everett, Washington. Marilyn married Virgil Sauer on January 6, 1944 in Everett. They moved with their first three children to Smelterville, Idaho in 1948. In 1952 after having three more children, they moved to a farm in Northeastern Washington and had three more children. In 1967 they moved to Sandy, Oregon and continued raising their younger children.
Marilyn was a loving mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, great-great-grandmother and Bible teacher.
Marilyn was preceded in death by her husband, Virgil and son, Darrell Sauer. She is survived by her sons, Doug Sauer of Fairfax, Virginia and David Sauer of Cincinatti, Ohio; daughters, Donna Irvin of Spokane, WA; Dianne Wiese of Gresham, OR; Darlene Sauer of Gresham, OR; Denise Workman of Vancouver, WA; Debbie Sauer of Gresham, OR; Dena Sauer of Vancouver, WA; sister, Lorraine Price of Corvallis, OR; brother, John Perrenoud of Las Vegas, NV; 30 grandchildren; 39 great-grandchildren, 2 great-great-grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews.
