Martha Cook, 93, of Portland, passed away on October 27, 2015. She was born in Morse Saskatchewan, Canada on May 24, 1922 to Alexander and Katherine (Bender) Fritzler. Martha was raised on the family farm and her highest level of education was high school.
She married James Cook on October 2, 1943 and together they raised two children Bev and Brian. Martha was a home maker and worked as a stock clerk for JC Penny. She was also a member of the friendship club during her time at JC Penny. Martha enjoyed gardening, cooking, reading reader digest magazines and working on arts and crafts. She will be remembered for her friendly and caring personality and great sense of humor.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Jim; and daughter, Bev. She is survived by her son Brian; grandchildren, Sharon, Dianne, Angela, Debbie, Katie, Rick; great grandchildren, Chelsey, Tyler, Allison, and Sidnie.
