

Maudie "Granny" Mullins, 92 of Gresham, passed away on Saturday, July 24, 2010. She was born on August 12, 1917 in Pound, Virginia to Amon and Sarah Elvira (Holler) Chester. She married Guy "Pappy" Mullins on April 23, 1932 in Pound, Virginia. They moved to Oregon in 1955 first to Coquille and then to Gresham in 1979. She loved gardening and baking. Granny's life centered around family and friends. She cherished her children, grandchildren and great grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her husband Guy in December of 2007 and her son Jim in October of 2006. She is survived by her sons Kenneth Mullins of Coquille, Oregon and Bobby Mullins of Crooked River Ranch, Oregon; daughters Lois Cooper of Vancouver, Washington and Phyllis Hansen of Roseburg, Oregon; daughter-in-law Margaret Mullins of Sanford, North Carolina; sister Margie Galka of Alabama; ten grandchildren, twenty-two great grandchildren and four great-great grandchildren.
A Celebration of Granny's Life will be held on Tuesday, August 3, 2010 at 11:00am at the Chapel of Bateman Carroll Funeral Home, 520 W. Powell Blvd in Gresham, Oregon.
