

Myron Robert Clark passed away on February 9th, 2017, at his home in Portland, Oregon. He was born on May 8th, 1939, in Eugene, Oregon, to his parents: Milo Luther and Lillian Alice (Wicks) Clark. He attended Marcola High School, and following graduation, he enlisted in the United States Navy. He served from December 31st, 1956, until he was honorably discharged on March 31st, 1960. He served in Vietnam, and he received a medal to commemorate his service.
Following his service, Myron worked for the Forest Service in Myrtle Point, and later for the mill. In 1982, he began his career as a machine operator with the railroad. He took an early retirement in 1992.
On September 27th, 1982, Myron married Helen Gresham. They shared 35 wonderful years together.
Myron was baptized Baptist as a child. He was a member of the Oakridge Moose Lodge as well. He enjoyed gardening, baking, fishing, and hunting. He was excellent at sewing, and he made outfits for his family. He was a loving man, and he loved nothing more than seeing his loved ones happy and smiling. He will be fondly remembered as a jokester.
Myron was preceded in death by his son, Robert Clark. He is survived by his loving wife, Helen Clark; his children and their spouses, Debbie, Dale, Mary (Rusty), Danny (Lois), Richard (Phyllis), and Barbara (Bryan); as well as 23 grandchildren, and 33 great grandchildren. He will be missed.
Visitation will be held on Friday, February 24th, from 1-5 pm at Bateman Carroll Funeral Home in Gresham. A Funeral Service will be held on Sunday, February 26th, at 1:00 pm at Bateman Carroll Funeral Home, with a Committal Service on Monday, February 27th, at 1:30 pm at Willamette National Cemetery. On Saturday, March 18th, at 1:00 pm, a Celebration in Myron's honor will be held at the Oakridge Moose Lodge.
