Nita graduated from Everett High School in 1951 as Valedictorian. She attended St. Therese Catholic Church in Portland.
Nita enjoyed reading, going out with friends and her trips to the beach.
Nita married Frederick Wallner in 1953 in Portland. He preceded her in death in 1989. Nita was also preceded in death by her son Jeff.
Nita is survived by her daughter Karen Sanders of Portland, her two granddaughters, Desiree and Ashley Sanders who both live in Portland, her brother, Warner Berglund and her sister Sonja Soley who both live in Washington.
Funeral service will be on Thursday, March 19, 2015 at 11:00 a.m. at Bateman Carroll Funeral Home located at 520 W. Powell Blvd. in Gresham, Oregon. Private burial will be at Gethsemani Cemetery
