

Norma was born on January 22, 1940 in Phoenix, Arizona and was the daughter of Alfred and Rheba (Gillium) Huitt. She grew up in various places around the West; the Dalles, Stanfield, Oregon, Oroville, California were all places Norma called home. She graduated from high school in Oroville, CA in 1958 and upon graduation; Norma moved north to marry John Pulliam who she had met while in school in the Dalles. They settle down in the community of Corbett to raise their 3 children.
Norma worked for the Corbett School District for 28 years as a Library and Media Assistant and made wonderful, lifetime friends. Norma was among the founders of the Corbett Benevolent Society that sought to assist families with the loss of a loved one.
Norma was a devout Christian and took great joy in serving the Lord. Norma always endeavored to be a Godly woman and spread her faith by example and fellowship in her church at Springdale Community Bible Church. Norma loved to take photographs, write poetry. There was never a road that didn’t need exploring or a question that didn’t need answering. Norma was a loving, faithful wife, a warm and loving mother and a true and loyal friend. We will miss her sunny disposition and tender heart.
Norma is survived by her husband, John, sons: Steve and Jeff, brothers: Daniel and David, grandchildren: Chad, Staci, Kasey, Danielle, A.J. and Jordan and great grandchildren: Cassius, Isaiah and Isabel. Norma is preceded in death by her son, Gary and her brother, Darrell.
A funeral service will be held on Saturday, September 10, 2011 at 1:00 pm at Corbett Community Church. Bateman Carroll Funeral Home is handling the arrangements.
