PazGloria “Patty” Larson was a beloved grandmother, mother, sister, and wife during her incredible 97 years of life. While she was a longtime resident of Gresham, Oregon, she passed away peacefully in Vancouver, Washington, surrounded by those who loved her on Saturday, December 31, 2022.
Patty was born in the Philippines on October 20, 1925, to Pedro and Nieves Quicho, and was the oldest of four siblings. In 1946, she met her husband Earl, who was working with the Department of the Navy, and they married on October 4, 1946. They remained in the Philippines where they raised their children until 1976 when Earl retired, and they moved to Oregon. She was a very sociable person who enjoyed attending gatherings and talking to everyone she met. Some of her other passions included cooking, crafting, and tending her garden, especially her rose bushes.
Patty is predeceased by her parents, Pedro and Nieves; her sister, Virginia; her brother, Alberto; and her husband, Earl. She is survived by her sister, Rosie; her five children, Jim, Hanna, Elizabeth, Mildred, and Earl; and numerous nieces, nephews, grandsons, granddaughters, and great-grandchildren.
We will miss Patty dearly, but we are so grateful for the time we had to spend with her. We will always feel her presence in our hearts.
