Peggy Joan Lewis, 68 of Troutdale OR, passed away on Wednesday, October 12, 2011. She was born on July 6, 1943 in Crawford, Nebraska to Clifford and Stella (Rogers) Bills. She grew up and lived in the Fairview area for most of her life and graduated from Reynolds High School in 1962. She married Richard “Dick” Lewis on June 15, 1962 in Portland, Oregon and he preceded her in death on August 20, 2010. She has lived in Troutdale for the last 40 years and was a member of The Chapel in Troutdale. Peggy loved kids and was known to babysit on many occasions. She was also known as the “Bingo Queen” at the nursing home.
She is survived by her sons Bryan Lewis of Troutdale OR and Lynn Lewis of Gresham OR; brother Randy Bills of Brush Prairie WA; sisters Sherry Taylor of Troutdale OR, Cathy Bills of Gresham OR and Karen Jones of North Platte NE; six grandchildren and two great grandchildren.
A Celebration of Peggy’s Life will be held on Sunday, October 16, 2011 at 3:00pm at The Chapel, 27132 SE Stark in Gresham, Oregon 97060.
