

Dick was born on July 12, 1940 in Klickitat, Washington and was the son of Leslie and Marjorie (Lehto) Oldham. He moved to Portland and graduated with the first class from Madison High School in 1958.
On September 5, 1959 he married Loretta Andrews in Vancouver, Washington. They resided in East Multnomah County for 53 years and Dick worked for CWS/Sulzer Escher Wyss in Portland as a machinist and Superintendent. He retired in 1995.
Dick was a member of the East Portland Moose Lodge since 1972, a Trail Blazer Season Ticket Holder and Fan since 1971 and a member of the Glendoveer Men’s Golf Club. He also enjoyed hunting, fishing and growing Dahlias with his wife. Family was very important to Dick and he simply adored his grandchildren. He will be dearly missed by all who knew and loved him.
Dick is survived by his wife, Loretta of Portland, daughters, Laura (husband, Duane) Peters of Beaverton, and Sandra (husband, David) Bourne of Troutdale, son, Les (wife, Molly) Oldham of Portland, brothers Frank Oldham and Larry Allenbaugh both of Portland and sisters, Betty Holcomb of Arizona and Mary Lee Bolan of Gresham along with six grandchildren, Tripp, Taylor, Shaun, Ashley, Samantha and Kelsey.
A funeral service will be held on Monday, October 1, 2012 at 11:00 am at Bateman Carroll Funeral Home. A reception will follow at the East Portland Moose Lodge at 1:00 pm.
