Richard married Marian Miller. She preceded him in death. Richard loved to fish.
Survivors include his brother Ron Smith, two sisters, Merleyn Miller and Judy Williamson plus an amazing foster family, Susan, Karen, Mike, JoAnn, Josh and Shelby, of Gresham, Oregon.

A Memorial gathering will be on Sunday, February 13, 2011 from 1:00 p.m. until 4:00 p.m. at Albertina Kerr building c, 722 NE 162nd Ave. in Portland, Oregon.
