Robert Le Roy Melius

Robert Le Roy Melius, 90 of Clackamas OR, passed away on Monday, August 24, 2020. He was born on October 31, 1929 in Stanley, Wisconsin to Lawrence and Marjorie Melius. In his earlier years Robert worked as a switchman for the Northern Pacific Railroad but was later known as being a Sales Representative for over 20 years for several different businesses. Robert married Laura Mae Seidlitz on July 9, 1950 in Chester, Montana. He was an avid outdoorsman enjoying both hunting and fishing and also played volleyball and softball.

Robert is survived by his wife Laura Melius of Clackamas OR; sons Gene Melius of Seattle WA, Robert A. Melius (Marla) of Oregon City OR and Tim Melius (Karen) of Clackamas OR; daughters Carol Posey of Kaiser OR, Pamela Ellis of Lake Oswego OR and Rebeccah Ash (Levi) of Happy Valley OR; brothers Louis Melius (Elsie) of Tye Valley OR, Lynn Melius of Chehalis WA and Don Melius (Patty) of Oakdale WA; sister Joyce Johnston (Gary) of Forest Grove OR; Thirteen Grandchildren and Eight Great Grandchildren. Robert was preceded in death by brothers Larry Melius and Marion Melius.

Private interment will take place at Forest Lawn Cemetery in Gresham, Oregon. Special Thank You from the family goes out to the Emerson House for their care and compassion beyond the call of duty. Arrangements entrusted to Bateman Carroll Funeral Home in Gresham, Oregon.
