It is with hearts full of love and faith that we announce the passing of our beloved husband, father, grandfather, great-grandfather, Ruben Barron Banda, on November 29, 2024. At age 78, Ruben completed his earthly journey and entered into the eternal presence of his Lord and Savior.
Born on September 19, 1946, in Calexico, California, Ruben lived his life covered in prayer, devotion to God, his family, and the values of faith. Every day, without fail, he would thank God aloud, acknowledging His blessings and grace. This daily expression of gratitude was a testimony to his unwavering faith and trust in the Lord.
Ruben was a loving husband to Elizabeth for 54 years, a devoted father to Claudia, a cherished grandfather to Jessica, Isaiah, Gabriel, Lauren, Hannah, and a proud great-grandfather to Magnolia and Onyx. His family was his greatest joy, and led them by example with a faith-filled heart, steadfast prayers, and unconditional love.
As a family, we are comforted in knowing that he is now in the arms of Jesus, rejoicing in the promise of eternal life. Ruben often reminded us of God's goodness and instilled in all of us a deep faith that continues to guide our lives.
Ruben is survived by his wife, his daughter, 5 grandchildren, 2 great grandchildren; his brothers, Ezekiel, Saul, Daniel, Arturo; sister, Sara, and countless nieces, nephews, and friends whose lives he touched. His legacy of love, faith, and gratitude will continue to shine through all of us.
Although we grieve, we find comfort in Isaiah 25:8: "He will swallow up death forever; and the Lord God will wipe away tears from all faces, and the reproach of his people he will take away from all the earth, for the Lord has spoken." Rest peacefully, Husband/Father/Grandfather/Great-Grandfather you have fought the good fight, finished the race, and kept the faith.
With love and gratitude,
Elizabeth, Claudia, all your grandchildren and great-grandchildren
