Ruby Dawley

Ruby (Towler) Dawley, 74, passed away July 19, 2012 at her home in Gresham, surrounded by her family. She was born August 6, 1937 in Prairie Grove, Arkansas. As a child, she was raised in Summerfield, Kansas, but lived for over 50 years in Oregon. She was married to her soul mate Les Dawley and together they shared many wonderful years of marriage until Les’ passing in 2003.

After retiring from Owens-Illinois, Ruby enjoyed working in her garden, fishing, and just spending time with her family. She was a good wife, mother and friend. Ruby was an old-fashioned woman, straight forward and honest, but never judgmental. She was strong willed and kind hearted with a wicked sense of humor.

Ruby was preceded in death by her husband, Les and brother Henry (Sonny) Towler. She is survived by her children Dawn Michelle Edwards, of Gresham, OR, David Edwards of Portland, OR, and Leslie and Todd Randall of Sherwood, OR; sisters Joyce Gana and Doris McLaughlin of Lincoln, Nebraska, and grandchildren Cheyenne Edwards-Murphy, Hannah Grace Randall, and Jacob Dale Randall.
