Sherry M. Taylor, 74, of Troutdale, Oregon, passed away peacefully on November 20, 2025. Sherry was born August 28, 1951 to Clifford and Stella Bills. She was born with a bright spirit and a heart full of love, Sherry brought joy, comfort, and light to everyone who had the blessing of knowing her.
Sherry graduated from Reynolds High School in Troutdale in 1970. On May 18, 1974, Sherry married Keith Taylor, in Boring, Oregon. Throughout Sherry’s life, she carried with her an easy smile, a warm hug, and a contagious laugh that could lift even the heaviest of days. She was someone who was always happy to help, always ready to listen, and always willing to give of herself. Her heart of gold touched countless lives.
Although Sherry worked in various jobs over the years, her greatest calling—and her greatest pride—was being a homemaker. She dedicated her life to caring for her beloved children, and later, to showering her grandchildren with endless love. Babysitting for family, friends or others was never just a task for Sherry; it was a joy and a privilege. She loved to nurture others, and she did so with gentleness, patience, and deep devotion.
Sherry was a member of The Chapel church, where her faith and kindness shone brightly. She cherished time spent at the beach, loved camping trips, and treasured every moment shared with her family. Her grandchildren were truly the light of her life, and the memories created with them will remain forever in their hearts.
Sherry is survived by her devoted husband, Keith; her son Randy Taylor and his wife Tanya of Vancouver; her daughter Keri Buckelew and her husband Matthew of Troutdale; and her beloved grandchildren Wesley, Caden, Kara, Jordyn, Rylan, and Jordis. She is also survived by her sister Karen Jones and her husband Gene of North Platte; her brother Randy Bills and his wife Brenda of Brush Prairie; her sister Cathy Bills-Williams and her husband Steven of Sandy; and many cherished nieces and nephews whom she loved dearly.
She is preceded in death by her father Clifford Bills, her mother Stella Bills, her brother Larry Bills, and her sister Peggy Lewis.
Sherry’s legacy is one of love—deep, unconditional, and beautifully pure. Her laughter, kindness, and the warmth of her embrace will be missed every day, but her bright spirit will continue to live on in the hearts of those she loved so well.
