

A memorial service will be held at 2 p.m. Saturday, March 5, at St. Luke the Physician Episcopal Church, 120 S.W. Towle Ave.
Keith was born Aug. 11, 1939, in Duncan, Ariz., to Carl and Bernice Long. Keith was raised in Palo Alto, Calif., and graduated from Menlo-Atherton High School. He graduated from Oregon State University in 1963 and enlisted in the Navy. He served as a line officer on an LST in the Vietnam War. He was discharged in 1967.
On June 10, 1962, he married Peggy Rasmussen at Good Samaritan Episcopal Church in Corvallis. They moved to Gresham in 1979; Keith resided in the same home until his death.
Keith worked as a purchasing agent. He retired in 1999. He was a member of St. Luke the Physician Episcopal Church, where he was a lay preacher, a lay Eucharist minister and lector. He helped raise children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
Survivors include his wife; daughters, Jennifer Long of Salem and Catherine Margaronis of Scio; brothers, Gary Long of Salem and Don Long of Sunnyvale, Calif.; four grandchildren; and six great-grandchildren.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations can be made to the labyrinth fund at St. Luke the Physician Episcopal Church, 120 S.W. Towle Ave., Gresham, 97080; or to a charity of choice.
