Born in Portland, Oregon, to Karen Brown and Donald Black, Tammy’s life journey carried her through many places and seasons. She lived briefly in Laguna Beach, California, as well as Coos Bay and Coquille, Oregon, before spending many years in Las Vegas, Nevada. In time, she made her way back home to Gresham, Oregon, where she spent her final chapter.
Tammy lived with a spirit that could not be contained; vibrant, magnetic, and forever young at heart. She was the life of every gathering, the one who brought music to the room and made sure no one sat still for long. She loved to dance, to laugh, and to celebrate life in its fullest form, leaving behind moments that now live on as cherished memories.
Her heart was her greatest gift. In earlier years, Tammy dedicated herself to caring for the elderly, offering compassion, dignity, and companionship. Throughout her life, she also cared for many children—first in Oregon, and later in Las Vegas, where her nurturing spirit touched countless families. She loved deeply and gave freely, and that spirit of care lives on through the family she raised and the many lives she touched.
In the past decade, Tammy embraced life with intention; crossing off bucket list dreams and savoring each experience. She loved cruises, like her grandpa Rice, game nights, bingo, and her most recent joy, pool - proudly earned her very first trophy in her billiards league. She found joy in simple pleasures and meaningful moments.
She shared a beautiful love with her husband, Ronaldo Morales Baker, and finds eternal peace reunited with him once again.
Tammy is survived by her children, Tiffany, Paul, and Nicole; and lovingly embraced Ron’s children, Gabe and Eli, as her own. She also leaves behind her grandchildren, Jacob, Jenna, McKenzie, Kayla, Enzo, Isabella, Zayn, and Zaiya; and her great-grandchildren, Harley, Blakely, and Raelynn. She was a proud mother and grandma. Each of them carries forward her spirit, her warmth, and her unmistakable light.
She was loved deeply by many, near and far—family, friends, and all whose lives she touched along the way. Her presence was unforgettable, and her absence will be deeply felt.
Though she is no longer here in the way we wish, Tammy’s laughter echoes on, her love remains woven into the hearts of those she leaves behind, and her spirit continues to dance in every life she touched.
She will not be forgotten. Forever in our hearts.
