Thomas Joseph Lalande was born in Portland, Oregon on October 10, 1934 and passed away on February 3, 2016. He grew up in Spokane, Washington and also spent time in Burns, Oregon. Tom enlisted in the U.S. Navy at age 17, served in Korea and was honorably discharged after 8 years of service. He married Ursula Posch and they had three children- Renee, Rick and Rod. Later in life, he met Georgia Spence. They spent 23 years together until his death. In addition to his children, Tom is survived by his brother, Robert, and sisters, Bettie Egland and Lila Tilley; as well as numerous grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews. Mass will be held on Thursday, February 11th at 10am at Bateman Carroll Funeral Home. Internment at Willamette National Cemetery at 11:30am.
