Warren James Tittle, 65, of Portland, Oregon, passed away on April 2ne, 2015. Warren was born July 17, 1949 in Austin, Texas to the late Warren G. and Ivy Jewel (Beard) Tittle. As a child he lived in Austin, Manchaca and Granger, Texas and graduated from Granger High School in 1968. Warren attended Central Texas College in Killeen, Texas, University of Texas in Austin and graduated from Southwest Texas State College in San Marcos, Texas in 1972 with a B.A. degree in business. After college he served in the Air Force during the Vietnam War as a B52 Navigator until his honorable discharge as a 1st Lieutenant.
Warren is survived by his wife, Joslyn Tittle of Portland, Oregon; daughter, Carrie Fuentes (Jason) of Frisco, Texas; step daughters, Jennifer Juul (Tom) and Shirley Hathaway of Portland, Oregon; sister, Jocelyn Caldwell (Don) of Iredell, Texas and Mary Lou Hyzak (Patrick) of Taylor, Texas; granddaughters, Kacie and Kaitlyn; grandsons, TJ and Justin; as well as many nieces and nephews in Texas whom he loved and adored.
Music was an important part of Warren’s life. He played piano and organ and had a beautiful tenor voice. He could harmonize perfectly and spent many happy hours playing instruments with his mother and sisters. The only thing that matched the love he had for music was his love for The Lord. He regularly attended church, read the bible faithfully and witnessed to all who knew him. Warren will be dearly missed by all, he was a truly special man and adored.
Funeral service will be Monday, April 13th at 11:30 a.m. at Bateman Carroll Funeral Home in Gresham followed by a 2:30 pm concluding committal service at Willamette National Cemetery in Portland. Memorial donations can be made to the Disabled American Veterans (DAV) or OHSU Knights Cancer Institute in Warren’s name.
