Warren was born in Fairdale, North Dakota to Tolleck and Nellie Voge. Warren spent his early years in Langdon, North Dakota with his Brothers and Sisters – Ruby, Beatrice, Babe, Lyle, and Bud. He joined the United States Army and was a prisoner of war in South East Asia during WWII for 41 out of the 44 months of the US’s involvement in the war. Following WWII, he stayed in the military, serving for over 20 years. During his service he met his wife Katherine, who preceded him in death. They had three children – Leslie, Gail, and Gordon. After his military service, Warren spent 20 years as a United States Postal Service mail carrier. He spent the majority of his life enjoying basketball by both playing and watching the sport. He could also often be caught sneaking a beer whenever he could. He loved spending time with kids, and especially adored his time with his grandkids – Karen, Sarah, Hailey, Hilaree, and Brody. He is also survived by 7 great-grandchildren.
Military Honors and Committal Service will be held at 11:00 am on Friday, March 29, 2019 at Willamette National Cemetery, 11800 SE Mt. Scott Blvd., Portland, Oregon 97086
