

Bill was born on December 15, 1934 in the Dalles Oregon to William and Custance (Connie Johnson) Anthony. Bill was raised in the Dalles Oregon attended St. Mary’s through eighth grade. He graduated from The Dallas high school class of 1952. Bill was very proud of his achievements while working for Oregon Department of Transportation for over 38 years as a highway engineer. He retired in 1991. He also served in the US Army from 1957 through 1959 as a cryptographer.
Bill was very involved in community And charitable activities Which included The Elks, the Eagles, the VFW, the OHB, Crownpoint country historical Society The Wasco county historical society, The Civic Auditorium in The Dalles and A member of the Oregon State Sheriffs Association.
Bill loved motorcycling, singing karaoke and dancing with his sweet Susie. Bill was a very caring person and loved to be with his friends.
Bill loved his family and was preceded by Elinor Murphy, Avon Anthony survived by his sister Rita Hendrickson, brother Adrian (Nic)Anthony, nephews, nieces many cousins.
Most of all Bill was survived by the love of his life his wife Sweet Susie Anthony of 53 years, married February 13 1969.
Bill was an amazing husband and was very giving to all that came into his life. He loved life and enjoyed seeing everyone he loved happy, especially his wife who he loved and cherished with all his heart. He was “Her Knight in Shining Armor” he passed knowing that he will always live in her heart.
Service to be held at Willamette National Cemetery on November 29th, 2022 at 2pm.
