Carrie E. Hastings

Ms. Hastings was born January 6, 1941 in Griffin to the late J.C. Ellis and Florence Simmons Ellis. She was a dedicated member of Spring Hill Baptist Church before her declining health. Ms. Hastings retired from the Spalding Regional Medical Center after 30 years plus of service as a nurse and was a dedicated and loving nurse/caretaker for many people over the years.

Survivors include her children and their spouses, Gregory & Jackie Ellis, Zachery Ellis, Sharon Ellis (Victor) and Jeffery & Tonya Ellis; grandchildren, Bryson, Deion, Summer, Malcolm, Deonteri, Jasmine and Caleb; sister, Barbara Holston; brother, David Ellis; sister-in-law, Bessie Ellis, aunt, Catherine Thurmon and special friends, Joyce Mullins, Jackie Moultrie and Love Maddox. Nieces, nephews and other family also survive.

Funeral services for Ms. Carrie E. Hastings will be held Saturday, December 15, 2012 at 1:00 p.m. in the chapel of Haisten McCullough Funeral Home. Interment will follow in Westwood Gardens. Friends may visit the family on Friday, December 14, 2012 from 6 – 8 p.m. at the funeral home.
