Mr. Charles Edward Travis

Mr. Travis was born December 27, 1938 in Atlanta son of the late Lyndon D. Travis and the late Margaret White Travis. He was a veteran of the U.S. Air Force and an avid Georgia Bulldawg Fan. He enjoyed traveling to all the games and spending time with his friends. Mr. Travis loved golf and was an early and active member of the Griffin Country Club. A highlight of every year for him was getting together with his West Georgia College friends called “The Shamrocks” in places such as St. Simons Island, Rome, GA and Callaway Gardens for golf and fellowship. He will be missed dearly by his sons and all who knew him including his many loyal customers from Noland Company.

Survivors include sons & daughter-in-law, Charles Travis, Jr. of Atlanta, Brian & Angie Travis of Canton; sister, Pat Shildneck of Lawrenceville and grandchildren, Chase Travis, Alexa Travis and Addison Travis.

Memorial services for Mr. Charles Edward Travis will be held Sunday, December 18, 2011 at 2:00 p.m. in the chapel of Haisten McCullough Funeral Home. Friends may visit the family on Sunday 1 hour prior to the service.
