Ret. Sgt. Maj. Clyde M Dickerson

Mr. Dickerson was born May 31, 1924 in Atlanta, son of the late George Meredith Dickerson and the late Dollie Eugenia Hardy Dickerson. He was a veteran of the U.S. Army having served in WWII and Korea. Mr. Dickerson was a member of the Griffin Moose Lodge. He was preceded in death by his daughter, Shirley Ann Dickerson Freeman; grandchildren, Christopher Freeman, Keith Freeman and Kimberly Freeman and several brothers and sisters.

Survivors include his son & daughter-in-law, Charles & Sandra Dickerson of Roopville, GA; grandson & his wife, Chad M. & Courtney Dickerson of Virginia Beach, VA; great-grandsons, Cadence M. Dickerson and Bradley Vanderwater. Nieces, nephews and other family also survive.

Graveside funeral services for Mr. Dickerson will be held Friday, February 25, 2011 at 2:00 p.m. in Westwood Gardens. Rev. Terry Butler will officiate. Friends may visit the family 1 hour prior to the service at the funeral home.
