Delores Jeanette Gunter

Mrs. Gunter was born September 3, 1945. She received the Lord at Crestview Baptist Church and was a member of Sharon Baptist Church where she was a Sunday School teacher, on the Benevolent Committee and Bible School teacher. Mrs. Gunter loved mingling with friends playing Bingo with the Brightmoor Exercise Group. She loved her children and grandchildren affectionately known as “babies.” Mrs. Gunter was preceded in death by her parents, Henry Eugene and Mary Evelyn Evatt Sullivan; husband, Larry Thomas Gunter; daughters, Mary Jeanette Brooks and Tammy Michele Boyer; brothers, David, Donald & Eugene Sullivan and sister, Louise Wells.

Survivors include her children, Marvin & Bobbie Jean Maddox of Zebulon; Lori & Ricky Green of Griffin and Sheila & Jesse Weed of Griffin; grandchildren, Marty Bradford, Jr. of Griffin, Ivy & Noah Cleveland of McDonough, Amanda & Donnie Conner of Acworth, Larry & Ashley Green of Zebulon, Duane Bradley of Griffin and Joshua Bradley of Griffin; 11 great-grandchildren; brother, Charles Sullivan of Florida; niece, Faye Hoard of Griffin and sisters-in-law, Joyce Cochran of Jackson, Mary Gunter of Jackson and Martha Gunter of Zebulon. Several nieces and nephews also survive.

Funeral services for Mrs. Delores Jeanette Sullivan Gunter will be held Friday, August 12, 2016 at 11:00 a.m. in the chapel of Haisten McCullough Funeral Home. Pastor Jack Landham and Pastor Marlene Slaton will officiate. Burial will follow in Westwood Gardens. Friends may visit the family on Thursday, August 11, 2016 from 6 – 8 p.m. at the funeral home.
