Emma Ruth Butler

Mrs. Butler was born August 15, 1944 daughter of the late Benjamin & Susie Ogletree Gray. She worked for Fashion Industries for over 15 years, loved the children she later worked with at Griffin First Assembly of God Daycare for over 20 plus years and loved to grow roses, ride her lawnmower and read her Nook. In addition to her parents, she was also preceded in death by her grandson, Joshua Brady and brothers, Wayne Gray and Virgil Gray.

Survivors include her husband of 55 ½ years, Tony Butler; daughters & sons-in-law, Denise & Ronnie Brady and Kim & Tommy Williams; sons & daughters-in-law, Tim & Tracy Butler and Anthony & Sue Butler; sisters & brothers-in-law, Pat & John Strickland and Becky & Wayne Beam; brothers & sister-in-law, B.J. & Connie Gray, Arty Gray and Harry Gray; grandchildren, Chasity & Kevin Bates, Kellie & Austin Adams, Tabitha & Logan Ferrell, Kaylee & Jared Fleming; T.J. & Abbey Butler and Tiffany & Mark Bernhard; great-grandchildren, Rylie Bernhard, Avery Adams, Lacie Adams and Mason Bates; her precious dog, Susie and several nieces and nephews.

Funeral services for Mrs. Emma Ruth Butler will be held Thursday, May 26, 2016 at 2:00 p.m. in the chapel of Haisten McCullough Funeral Home. Rev. Argin Floyd and Rev. Chris Teasley will officiate. Burial will follow in Westwood Gardens. Friends may visit the family on Wednesday, May 25, 2016 from 6 – 8 p.m. at the funeral home.
