Erma Johnson Vaughn

Ms. Vaughn was born October 29, 1921, daughter of the late William and Eula Smith Johnson. She was a member of Southside Baptist Church for over 50 years where she served as organist for many years and helped with Bible School. She retired after 24 years as a District Manager with Avon and continued to sell for another 20 years. She was a member and President of the Griffin Breakfast Club. In addition to her parents, she was also preceded in death by a daughter, Joan Mitchell and son, Randall Vaughn.

Survivors include her daughter, Barbara V. Stewart of Griffin; grandchildren, Jay Stewart, Roddy Gasaway, Crystal Hubbard, Jesse Heflin and Betsy Heflin; several great-grandchildren; brother, Robert Johnson and sisters, Doris Spurgen and Billie Cole.

A funeral service for Ms. Erma Johnson Vaughn will be held Saturday, February 7, 2015 at 2:00 p.m. in the chapel of Haisten McCullough Funeral Home. Dr. Mark Sellars will officiate. Burial will follow in Westwood Gardens. Friends may visit the family on Friday, February 6, 2015 from 6 – 8 p.m. at the funeral home.
