

Mrs. Gossett was born July 7, 1923. She was retired from Regions Bank, formerly Griffin Federal. Granny was a devoted wife and loving mother who never met a stranger. She was preceded in death by her parents, Emmett Gunnels and Nannie Belle Jones Gunnels; husband, Robert Lamar Gossett, Sr.; brothers and sisters, Howell Gunnels, Ray Gunnels, Jeanette Crawley and Juanita Mitchell.
Survivors include sons & daughters-in-law, Robert Lamar, Jr. (Bob) & Barbara Gossett of Griffin, David Randall Gossett of Athens, Glynn Alan & Jill Gossett of Atlanta; brother, Bubby Gunnels of Griffin; grandchildren, Kelly Gossett, Terrie Daube, Meghann Gossett McKain, Matthew Lundy Gossett, Andrew Stewart Gossett; 5 great-grandchildren and 1 great-great-grandchild.
Funeral services for Mrs. Fay Gossett will be held Saturday, January 5, 2013 at 1:00 p.m. in the chapel of Haisten McCullough Funeral Home. Interment will follow in Oak Hill Cemetery. Friends may visit the family on Friday, January 4, 2013 from 4 – 7 p.m. at the funeral home.
