Mr. Joseph David Peek Sr.

Mr. Peek was born May 31, 1924 son of the late George Luther and Kate Bethea Peek. He was the last of eight brothers. G.L., Willis, Ralph, Mac, Jack, Charles and Paul all predeceased him. He was also preceded in death in 1970 by a son, Larry.

Survivors include his only sister, Betty Jones of Griffin; wife of 68 years, Jeanette McLean Peek and two sons, Joseph of Atlanta and Thomas (Linda) of Buckhead; 5 grandchildren, Kevin (Amy) of Dacula, Tim (Leslie) of Statham, Wendy (John) Roberts of Alpharetta, Brian of Griffin and Christy (Brad) Chandler of Locust Grove; 7 great-grandchildren, Jacob, Davis, Max, Sarah, Carson, Eric and Emily.

Funeral services for Mr. Joseph David Peek, Sr. will be held Wednesday, September 29, 2010 at 2:00 p.m. in the chapel of Haisten McCullough Funeral Home. Rev. Charles Gann will officiate. Interment will follow in the Oak Hill Cemetery. Friends may visit the family on Tuesday, September 28, 2010 from 6 – 8 p.m. at the funeral home.
