Louise Stonica

Mrs. Stonica was born March 16, 1923 in Fort Valley, GA, daughter of the late John Wesley Hudson and the late Lena Wells Hudson. She was a member of the Sunnyside First Baptist Church. Mrs. Stonica worked for Griffin Garment and Thomaston Mills and loved her crafts & sewing. She won many awards for her embroidery at the county fair. She was preceded in death by her husband, William “Bill” Stonica; great-grandson, Reggie Kendrick, Jr. and many brothers & a sister.

Survivors include son & daughter-in-law, Ronnie & Grace Stonica; daughter, Barbara Ensign and Sherry Kendrick all of Griffin; grandchildren, Michelle Tankell, Corey Stonica, Reggie Kendrick, Sandy Kendrick and Gloria Ensign-O’Neal; great-granddaughter, Alyssa Hill and will have 3 great-grandsons in April; brother & sister-in-law, Richard & Doris Hudson of California and brother, Eugene Hudson.

Graveside funeral services for Mrs. Stonica will be held Thursday, February 3, 2011 at 11:00 a.m. in the Maddox Family Cemetery on 6th Street. The family requests that everyone gather at the graveside. Friends may visit the family on Wednesday, February 2, 2011 from 4 – 6 p.m. at the funeral home.
