Margie M. Dix

Mrs. Margie M. Dix., age 92, of Griffin, GA, passed away at Wellstar Spalding Regional Hospital on Thursday, November 30, 2017. She was born in Griffin on November 19, 1925 to the late Marvin Luther and Mamie Conkle Moody. Mrs. Dix was also preceded in death by her husband, Cecil David Dix; granddaughter, Samantha R. Dix; sister, Thelma Carden; and brother, Troy Benton. She enjoyed attending Oak Hill Baptist Church, and loved spending time with her family. Survivors include her sons and daughters-in-law, Tony and Kathy Dix of Peachtree City, GA; Richard and Shirlene Dix of Griffin, GA; daughter and son-in-law, Linda and Don Thompson of Palatka, FL; grandchildren, David Dix (Heather) of Newnan, GA, Lauren Dix of Peachtree City, GA, Rodney Tomlin (Kathlene) of Woodstock, GA; great-grandchildren, Avery Dix; and several nieces and nephews. The family will receive friends on Sunday, December 3, 2017 from 5:00 until 7:00 pm at Haisten McCullough Funeral Home. A funeral service will be held on Monday, December 4, 2017 at 11:00 am in the chapel of Haisten McCullough Funeral Home. Interment will follow at Westwood Gardens.
