Mrs. Crews was born December 31, 1925 in Griffin, daughter of the late James A. and Della Mae Turner Smith. She was a member of East Griffin Congregational Holiness Church (Family Worship Center) and preached the gospel for over 50 years in many denominations, wherever the Lord led her. Mrs. Crews was a devoted wife, loving mother and grandmother. In addition to her parents, she was also preceded in death by her husband, Hugh Bowling Crews, Sr.; son, Rev. Hugh Bowling Crews, Jr.; daughter-in-law, Edna Crews and sons-in-law, Keith Shiflett and David Lindsey.
Survivors include her daughters & sons-in-law, Glenda & Sonny Perry, Constance Shiflett, Deborah & Wesley Hayes and Cheryl Lindsey; sisters, Maxine Willis and Martha Hambrick; 9 grandchildren and 12 great-grandchildren.
Funeral services for Rev. Mary Bethel Crews will be held Sunday, July 26, 2015 at 2:00 p.m. in the chapel of Haisten McCullough Funeral Home. Rev. Billy Anderson, Rev. Leonard Hodge, Rev. Daniel Perry and Rev. Gene Luke will officiate. Burial will follow in Westwood Gardens. Friends may visit the family on Saturday, July 25, 2015 from 6 – 8 p.m. at the funeral home.
