Mrs. Miriam Joyce Lassiter Evans

Mrs. Evans was born January 24, 1939 in Griffin, daughter of the late George True Lassiter and the late Ruby Noel Lassiter. She was the best wife, mother and nanny ever. Mrs. Evans was preceded in death by her husband, Raymond Horace Evans, Jr.; son, Raymond Evans, III and brothers, Richmond Lassiter and Ronnie Lassiter.

Survivors include daughter & son-in-law, Tim & Trina Blocker of Barnesville; grandchildren, Arielle Blocker, Joshua Blocker, Clara Blocker, Rachel Blocker and Noah Blocker; sister & brother-in-law, Katie & Rev. Ralph Simmons and sister-in-law, Pat Lassiter. Several nieces & nephews also survive.

Graveside funeral services for Mrs. Miriam Joyce Lassiter Evans will be held Wednesday, October 6, 2010 at 3:00 p.m. in the Midway United Methodist Church Cemetery. Friends and family are asked to gather at the cemetery. Friends may visit the family on Tuesday, October 5, 2010 from 7 – 9 p.m. at the funeral home.
