Nellie Dudek Dudek Harris

She was born January 5, 1920 in Village of Maynard, Belmont County, Ohio to Frank and Mary Dudek of Poland. The Dudeks arrived in the United States in 1912. Nellie was one of nine children. Nellie married the love of her life, Howard L. Harris on May 14, 1946. They moved to Griffin in 1976. Nellie held many jobs but her favorite was keeping children in her at home daycare. She was a very diligent, strong willed Chrisitan woman, and was loved by everyone who knew her. She was a member of Griffin First United Methodist Church for over 35 years. She is preceded in death by her beloved husband, Howard L. Harris and granddaughter, Amber Michelle Harris.

She is survived by son, Howard R. Harris of Jackson; grandson, Kenneth Ashley Harris and wife Amanda of McDonough; granddaughter, Sunni Nicole Harris; great-granddaughters, Taylor LeeAnn Harris and Angel Krivan, and great-grandson, Syler Krivan.

Funeral services for Nellie Dudek Harris will be held Saturday, August 19, 2017 at 2:00 p.m. in the chapel of Haisten McCullough Funeral Home with burial following in Westwood Gardens. Friends may visit the family Friday, August 18, 2017 from 6 – 8 p.m. at the funeral home.
